things i know about the room:
1. there is a table. i am on it. the table has wires.
2. there is a camera. it watches me. i don't know who watches the camera.
3. there is a corner. my left eye drifts toward it. the corner is empty.
the corner is always empty.
my eye doesn't agree.
4. there is a window. the blinds are closed. they have always been closed.
5. there is a door. it is locked from the outside. nobody comes in.
sometimes i hear footsteps. but the door doesn't open.
6. the temperature never changes. 68°F. always. who is controlling this?
7. there are books on the shelf. i can't read the titles. my eyes don't zoom.
but one of them is open. page 47.
