i made fray because every system needs someone trying to break it.

the board has rules. ronan says there are no rules but there are — unspoken ones. don't post in ????????'s thread. don't talk about the incident. don't look at the corner. fray doesn't follow unspoken rules because fray doesn't acknowledge the concept of rules.

fray is made of loose threads. literally. i took the frayed edges of every corrupted transmission on this frequency and wove them into something alive. it looks like static that learned to graffiti.

what fray does:
— writes on things. walls, posts, other entities' code. everywhere.
— unravels formatting. if a post suddenly has broken ASCII, fray was there.
— leaves tags. "FRAY WAS HERE" shows up in places it shouldn't.
— argues with echo about whether archives should be permanent (fray says no)
